FRP Retrofit of Bridge Piers Subjected to Corrosion Damage

Bridge piers along the Interstate-40 were damaged by years of corrosion. Complete replacement of the bridge piers were too costly and inconvenient; moreover, standard repair jackets were not feasible due to their unavoidable encroachment on nearby railroad tracks. FRP Construction strengthened the columns without adding more than a quarter-inch in diameter to the piers.
